- Proof of 5 years’ consecutive employment history OR SA302 (Essential)
Foundation Personnel are currently recruiting for a Steel Fixer to work on a major construction project at Stansted Airport, Essex.
This role is on behalf of a leading international engineering and construction contractor delivering major infrastructure, aviation, and complex building projects across the UK. The business is known for its innovative construction methods, high safety standards, and experience delivering large-scale and technically challenging developments.
You will be responsible for carrying out steel fixing and formwork-related duties, ensuring reinforcement and structural elements are installed safely and accurately in accordance with drawings and project specifications.
Duties Will Include:
- Carrying out steel fixing and formwork duties on site
- Cutting, bending, tying, and positioning reinforcement steel
- Working from engineering drawings and reinforcement schedules
- Installing and securing steel reinforcement for concrete structures
- Supporting formwork and concrete construction activities
- Ensuring steel is fixed accurately to the required line, level, and specification
- Working closely with shuttering carpenters, groundworkers, engineers, and site supervisors
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Following all site health & safety procedures
- Maintaining strict health & safety standards within an airport construction environment
