Foundation Personnel are currently looking on behalf of a Tier 1 Contractor for the following to join the Sizewell C project. An Experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a well-established UK construction and civil engineering firm delivering major infrastructure and complex construction projects across the UK and Ireland. Our client has a strong reputation for quality, safety, sustainability and innovation, working across sectors including commercial, industrial, civil engineering and high-specification building delivery.

The Opportunity

As a Setting Out Engineer, you will play a key technical role within our project delivery teams, ensuring accurate setting out and alignment of works in accordance with design and programme requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to work on flagship projects, including major energy and infrastructure schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct setting out for structural, civil and MEP works across site operations

  • Interpret drawings and coordinate setting out points with site teams

  • Use and maintain survey instruments to deliver accurate results

  • Work closely with Site Engineers, Project Surveyors, Contractors and Designers

  • Record and report progress, deviations and as-built information efficiently

  • Ensure all activities adhere to the highest standards of safety and quality

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on large civil/infrastructure projects

  • Valid Sizewell C site induction certificate (mandatory)

  • In-depth experience with EDN and Trimble equipment (company will supply equipment, but candidates owning their own kit will have an advantage)

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and tolerances

  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Hold your own mobile phone and laptop for field reporting and communication

Please note: Successful candidates will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test at induction, carried out by our end client, as part of their health and safety procedures

Candidates must be able to provide x2 Working References.
