Hours: 7:30AM to 5:30PM
Duration: Permanent Contract

Foundation Personnel are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead the delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on Reinforced Concrete works. This is a senior, hands-on role requiring proven leadership across complex programmes involving civils, groundworks, and utilities.

You will have overall responsibility for site performance, programme delivery, health & safety, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams on technically challenging schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall management of site operations from pre-construction through to completion

  • Leading Construction Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors

  • Managing and coordinating reinforced concrete packages, including formwork, rebar, and concrete pours

  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to quality standards

  • Driving a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across site

  • Liaising with clients, designers, local authorities, and senior stakeholders

  • Managing subcontractor performance, procurement, sequencing, and interfaces

  • Overseeing civils, groundworks, and utilities activities across site

  • Reporting progress, risks, and programme updates to senior leadership

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager on large-scale projects

  • Essential experience delivering reinforced concrete structures

  • Strong background in construction with civils, groundworks, and utilities experience highly advantageous

  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid (essential)

  • Strong understanding of construction programmes, temporary works, and commercial controls

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to manage complex interfaces and high-pressure site environments

Please note: Successful candidates will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test at induction, carried out by our end client, as part of their health and safety procedures
