are currently recruiting for an experienced Working Foreman to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK.
Our client specialises in complex civil engineering and infrastructure works, including:

Deep drainage and sewer infrastructure

Reinforced concrete structures
-
Water and wastewater treatment works
-
Pipeline installations and utility diversions
-
Pumping stations and associated MEICA enabling works
-
Heavy civils and groundwork packages
This is a hands-on role for a Working Foreman who is confident leading from the front, supervising operatives while remaining actively involved in the works on site.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site operations and coordinate site teams
-
Supervise groundworkers, plant operators, and subcontractors
-
Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification

Conduct site briefings and toolbox talks
-
Liaise with Site Managers and Engineers

Maintain high standards of health & safety and quality control
-
Interpret drawings and ensure works are carried out accordingly
Requirements:
-
Proven experience as a Working Foreman within civil engineering / heavy civils
-
Strong background in drainage, concrete, utilities or water infrastructure
-
Valid CSCS Card (Gold or Black preferred)

SSSTS or SMSTS
-
First Aid at Work
-
Cat & Genny qualification (Essential)

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Strong leadership and communication skills
Please note: Successful candidates will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test at induction, carried out by our end client, as part of their health and safety procedures
