Position: Groundworker
Location: Saffron Walden, Cambridgeshire
Duration: Temporary, potentially ongoing
Rate: £22 per hour
Hours: 07:30 – 17:30
Tickets / Qualifications Required:
- CPCS or NPORS (with CSCS Hologram) (Essential)
- Safety Critical Medical (Essential)
- Banksman experience (Essential)
Foundation Personnel are currently recruiting for a 3-Man Groundworks Gang to work on a project in Saffron Walden, Cambridgeshire.
This role is on behalf of a well-established civil engineering and earthworks contractor delivering infrastructure, enabling works, and site preparation packages across the UK. The company is known for its practical approach, experienced site teams, and ability to deliver high-quality groundworks and earthworks solutions safely and efficiently.
The successful gang will be responsible for carrying out a range of groundworks and earthworks activities as part of a coordinated site team.
Duties Will Include:
- Small-scale earthworks operations
- Trimming and grading sub-base to specification
- Installing ducting and associated infrastructure
- Operating plant safely and efficiently
- Supporting excavation and material movement activities
- Working as a cohesive 3-man gang to achieve programme targets
- Assisting with setting out, levels, and site preparation works
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and productive working environment
- Following all site health & safety procedures
- Maintaining strict health & safety standards on site

Previous experience working together as a gang would be advantageous but is not essential.
