- CPCS Blue Card (Essential)
- Safety Critical Medical (Essential)
- SZC or HPC Inducted (Essential)
- Previous experience as an Appointed Person (Essential)
Foundation Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of Tier 2 contactor for a Appointed Person – Lifting Operations to work on the Sizewell C project in Leiston, Suffolk.
This role is on behalf of a specialist tunnelling contractor delivering complex underground infrastructure works across major UK projects. The company is highly regarded for its expertise in shaft construction, pipe jacking, and tunnelling operations, with a strong focus on safety, precision, and delivering within high-risk environments.
You will be responsible for carrying out appointed person duties on a tunnelling site, ensuring all lifting operations are properly planned, coordinated, and executed in line with lift plans and site requirements.
Duties Will Include:
- Acting as the Appointed Person for all lifting operations on site
- Planning and reviewing lift plans for tunnelling activities
- Ensuring all lifting operations are carried out safely and efficiently
- Coordinating with crane operators, slingers, and site teams
- Overseeing complex lifts within a tunnelling environment
- Ensuring compliance with LOLER regulations and site procedures
- Completing all required documentation and permits
- Liaising with site management and engineering teams
- Maintaining strict health & safety standards on site
