General Foreman
Position: General Foreman
Location: Northwest with UK travel
Project: shaft sinking
Salary or Pay Rate: £55,000 – £60,000
Requirements:
- Supervise and manage a shaft sinking gang on site, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all civils and drainage works, including scheduling labour and plant.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, site procedures, and quality standards.
- Monitor progress, report to senior management, and resolve on-site issues promptly.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to maintain smooth workflow.
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments as required.
- Travel to project sites in Cumbria and the Northeast as needed.
Qualifications and Experience: SMSTS
