Position: Road Sweeper
Location: Redcar and Cleveland, Teesside
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Long-term
Rate: £22.50 per hour
Hours: 7:30am – 5:30pm
MUST HAVE:

Medical (if you don’t currently have one, you must be willing to complete one)

Blue CSCS Road Sweeper Card
or Green CSCS Card with previous road sweeper experience (training available to upgrade to Blue) -
HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence

Driver CPC Card

Digital Tachograph Card

Previous road sweeper experience (essential)
We are currently recruiting a Road Sweeper Operator to work on a major highways and infrastructure project in Redcar and Cleveland, Teesside. This role supports a nationally recognised highways delivery team operating across large-scale construction and transport schemes, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and environmental standards.
Role Responsibilities:

Operate a road sweeper to maintain safe and clean site and access roads

Sweeping on and around construction zones and live highways

Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance

Follow all site safety rules, traffic management plans, and procedures

Liaise with site teams to ensure roads remain clear and compliant at all times
Requirements & Experience:

Proven experience operating road sweepers on highways or construction sites

Confident working in live traffic environments
-
Strong understanding of site safety and traffic management controls
-
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently
