Project Manager / Estimator
Foundation Personnel Limited are currently recruiting for a Project Manager / Estimator with experience in civil and geotechnical engineering.

The ideal candidate will hold a qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Alternatively, applicants with demonstrated relevant experience will also be considered. Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience in civil or geotechnical engineering and ideally 2 years of project management experience.
Our client is well-established in the Piling Sector and encourage innovation and fresh ideas. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full life cycle of projects, from pre-qualification through to close out, supporting both office and site teams.
Responsibilities:
• Estimate and manage projects across earthwork, shoring, foundations, and ground improvement
• Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions and construction logistics
• Complete project pre-qualifications and review project plans, drawings, and geotechnical reports
• Request and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
• Carry out quantity take-offs, cost estimates, bid proposals, and budgets
• Perform Design-Build calculations and modelling
• Review and support contract negotiations
• Prepare submittals, RFIs, and project schedules
• Manage procurement and scheduling of equipment and materials
• Support field teams in quality control and cost management
• Prepare draft billings, change orders, and project close-out documentation
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
• 3+ years in civil or geotechnical engineering
• 2+ years of project management experience (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management tools
• Experience with AutoCAD or Agtek (preferred)
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Basic knowledge of construction means and methods
• Ability to travel to job sites
• Valid driver’s licence
