Foundation Personnel is looking for a Site Supervisor to oversee operations on a live gas infrastructure project in Chelmsford. The role involves supervising a team carrying out civil works, including gas mains laying, ducting, and drainage, while ensuring work is conducted safely and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support operatives on civil aspects of the gas scheme

  • Ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project RAMS

  • Oversee and sign off on installations, including mains laying and excavation

  • Coordinate deliveries and ensure materials and plant are used effectively

  • Liaise with project managers and engineers regarding progress and site needs

  • Maintain site records and daily reports as required

Requirements:

  • SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) – Essential

  • EUSR SHEA Gas – Essential

  • First Aid at Work – Essential

  • Manual Handling Certificate – Essential (can be completed online)

  • Asbestos Awareness – Essential (can be completed online)

  • Solid experience supervising utility or civil engineering teams

  • Strong understanding of safe working practices, documentation, and RAMS
