Position: Sheet Piling Banksman
Location: Leiston, Suffolk
Hours: 10 hours minimum paid
Duration: Long Term
Pay Rate: £20 per hour plus £100 travel plus £50.65 lodge (payable dependent on candidates’ location)
Foundation Personnel are looking for a sheet piling banksman, or piling hand, for a long term project in Leiston, Suffolk.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Site Preparation – Clearing the work area, setting up equipment, and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Handling Materials – Transporting, loading, and positioning piles (such as concrete, steel, or timber) before installation.
- Operating Tools & Equipment – Using hand tools, hydraulic jacks, rigging, and other equipment to assist with pile installation.
- Assisting Machine Operators – Supporting crane or pile driver operators by guiding piles into place and securing them.
- Ensuring Safety – Following safety protocols, wearing protective gear, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Site Cleanup & Maintenance – Cleaning up debris, maintaining tools, and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
- Supporting Other Construction Tasks – Helping with general labour duties as needed on the job site.
Qualifications and Experience: CPCS Slinger/Signaller plus IPAF, Sheet Piling Experience
