Foundation Personnel is seeking a Traffic Marshall (Gateman) for a project in Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire. This role involves managing site entry and exit, directing vehicles, and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic around the construction site. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established contractor known for its expertise in plant hire and earthworks projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control and manage the entrance and exit points of the site
- Direct and guide traffic to ensure safe vehicle movement around the site
- Assist with deliveries, ensuring vehicles are safely guided in and out
- Maintain clear communication with site supervisors and other operatives
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed, particularly in relation to traffic management
- Carry out general site duties when required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Traffic Marshall certification (essential)
- Previous experience as a Traffic Marshall or Gateman on construction sites
- Strong understanding of site safety and traffic management procedures
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with the site team
